    Maybe the question should be could you make it (ie pay your bills and save a little) with what you pay your employees? I guess as I have gotten older I am questioning how good of a career tree work is. Can i do it till I am 65? Or whatever the supposed retirement age is. Climbing/ground work etc.

    I think as an industry we need to look at why are so many are going the route of contract climbing or starting there own business. Those seem to be what most are looking for. Guys like that are looking for more money and room to grow and advance. I understand that tree work is a young man's game...

    Rim drums are not sold individually threw stihl you have to buy the kit. Part # 1121 007 1001. Buy the time you sand down the oregon drum if it is deeper. Did you really save any money if your time is worth money. IDK.

    That is not correct. The adjustable oil pump drum will rub the pump and the case.

    The made 2 different style clutch drums for 260. One is thinner and with out a notch for the non adjustable oil pump which i believe you have. Part # 1121 007 1001 Rim sprocket kit 0.325" 7T The thicker one with a notch is for the adjustable oil pump 260 pro for example.

    I have heard many of stories like this over the years. Sorry to hear you maybe another victim. I would not hesitate to call him out. Saves others from dealing with the same thing.

    Napa number for Carlton hydraulic filter

    Just be careful when switch filters from one brand to another especially on hydraulic filters. The may fit the same filter head. But have a different micron rating. Had a few problems with a 1672 rayco from running the wrong micron rated hydraulic filter.
