For those of you who have a state contractors license bonded and insured and contract climb, are you registered as LLC, S Corp, or Sole proprietor? Reason for your choice?
Temporarily in urban SoCal (up to a yr) and not interested in working for a single company
Who’s done seed cone collecting in conifers? I’m on the waiting list for a company that has contracts to collect seed cones in California. Met a guy through a biologist friend who mentioned he does it and later texted him I was very interested in going.
Sounds like they hike in, so I imagine...
I have been contacted by a couple road construction companies to bid on work as a "contractor supplied arborist" for road work in my area. Have any of you done this work? What was your experience? What did you actually do? What did you charge? At least some of what i would be hired for would be...
I have a '99 f-450 dump truck. Currently running 225/70r19.5 but found a full set of 245/70r19.5 for only 400$. Anyone else running these on a similar truck? Are they going to be too wide for the duals in the rear and rub?

It really helps. I'm a northern Californian, not that many jobs seem to come up in my neck of the woods and I would even consider relocating but it would be helpful if posters would show location in title or at the very least in the first post.
People seem to love it.
Treestuff told me it's notoriously inconsistent between batches. I like orange for safety. Want to use it with 3rd gen BDB, Wraptor, Roperunner, and DdRT. I seriously don't like the sound of " notoriously inconsistent" and would love some input from Cougar owners.
Thanks
just bought one from lumberjack this afternoon. I figure if I'm going at this tree work seriously it's smart to have tools that will lessen the wear and tear on me if I can. I have watched all the youtube videos but if anyone has any pertinent information I would be obliged to listen
i do 80% rural jobs, 20 miles then a dirt road that can be 4x4 for anywhere from .25 mile to 5+
i would like to come up with a estimate policy that is fair to me and not off putting to reasonable customers.
im thinking of something like $1 a mile anything over 20 miles.
maybe put it toward the...

Found some rope and a few pulleys, biners, lanyards, etc. at a saw shop. Bought a pulley for 13$, rated at 10kn. Looked up their website and called to ask who manufactures the rope. First was told in house but after a little more questioning was told another manufacturer but that it was a...
