160' Yale 13mm Polydyne: $90. Has a nick (shown) 9 feet from end. Used a few times, never overloaded.
94' Samson Static 1/2": $60. Came in a TreeStuff Bag O' Rope. Used for a 5 to 1 that was only ever pulled by hand, so never experienced heavy...
I took a friend rec climbing the other week and somehow left my Rope Runner at home. I was going to use the runner and have her on a hitch climber/wrench. Ended up putting her on a hitch climber DRT while I managed to use a wire gate carabiner to attach my wrench tether (Caralink-type) to the...
-Stein RC-1000 lowering device, lightly used: $120 plus shipping.
-3-ring Tylaska rigging sling, lightly used (I actually can't remember if I ever ran rope through it, or just used it as an anchor). One 38mm ring, and two 28mm rings. A few small dings on the edges, but not on the rope bearing...
I just received a replacement Rope Runner friction body from TreeStuff, and am very concerned about the packaging, and therefore concerned about the safety of the friction body. The friction body was in a ziplock bag in a thickened (not sure I'd consider this padded) envelope, and that's it. The...
Going through my miscellaneous gear box and realized I probably wasn't going to get much use out of these. Most of this is very lightly used, if at all. It's basically stuff I thought I'd use that I wasn't able to incorporate int my setup.
(Edited to only show what's still available)

Made in one evening of stuff I had just lying around, that I wasn't using for anything else. I haven't put body weight on it yet, but it seems to tend and grab all right.
The question is this: Why can't you climb SRT on just a hitch?
My understanding: The way we tie hitches for DRT does not work for SRT, because the hitch will bind up, making descent impossible.
But why? If you are 200lbs climbing DRT with a hitch on some kind of pulley saver, your hitch and...
Selling my lightly used 2019 ZigZag. I used it on a couple climbs, but soon after got a rope runner and haven't used it since. I just haven't found myself wanting to climb DRT after getting into SRT.

We have a few friction savers at work made by Buckingham, and I've become a big fan of their rings. They are fatter than most, and have a super durable coating. It looks to me like some kind of epoxy (like the green epoxy coated rebar) that is super wear resistant, but the information online...
Hey all,
I'm traveling home from college for the holidays and will be getting around by bike. I figured I'd lighten up my system as much as possible so I can travel with it and get in a good bit of rec climbing while I'm there. I have a standard Treemotion, and for sure will be bringing my 110'...
I'm working on a project for an engineering class involving arborist rigging rings. What do you like about them? What improvements would you like to see in them? How do they wear out? In what situations/applications have you found them to be unsatisfactory?
For those of you who have used the Zigzag SRT with the Rope Wrench or Chicane, does it slide a few inches on descents before stopping after you let go of the friction chain?
