home made wire core lanyard???
has anyone ever tried to make a wire core lanyard with 16 strand?. i know they crimp the eyes but my idea was to just replace the core of 16 strand with some equal size wire to stiffen up the lanyard, the eyes will still be regular 16 strand splice and the wire would start where the core is...- Daveyface

does a 16 strand end for end splice exist? i swear i saw it somewhere but it might have been for 24 strand, ive got about 280ft of new 16s trand to make some goodies and i would like to make some loop slings for speedlining and whatnot, anyone know if its possible? ive only seen sewn loops- Daveyface

Max chainsaw bar length for different chain types
so i have a new ms362 that has a 20 and 25 inch bar and was wondering about max bar lengths, i know stihl says max for it is 25 inch but what if i were to use a semi or full skip chain? i rarely need the saw for more than really big stumps so i wanna get a nice size bar if possible, like 32-36in...- Daveyface
