CRITIQUE MY CLIMB! ...rope walking on 9mm HTP

Crazy Jimmy, I think I have some extra 7mm and 8mm cord laying around so I will play with it tomorrow and see how well the hitch bites.

CRITIQUE MY CLIMB! ...rope walking on 9mm HTP

That is a compliment for sure! My wife and I go on two big adventures every year so we are always looking for a new destination. I wonder if the beaches are swim worthy all year round? (That shows how naive I am to the southern climates!)

CRITIQUE MY CLIMB! ...rope walking on 9mm HTP

You guys are so damn generous! I actually already have two auto lockers from when I attended a tree climbing seminar and a gentlemen felt the same way about my screwgates so he lent me two of his and left without letting me give them back! So I do have two! About the Rope Wrench, gmcttr sent...

CRITIQUE MY CLIMB! ...rope walking on 9mm HTP

Another simple solution that just went right over my head! It is laughable how upset I got that my throwline kept getting tangled when I could have just taken off the harness. Oh, I actually did see that video already. I just forgot, haha. Thanks for the reminder. HA! I am just happy that...

CRITIQUE MY CLIMB! ...rope walking on 9mm HTP

Hello gentlemen! Be brutal, give it to me straight, hold nothing back. I ask that you watch a recent climb of mine and tell me if I am doing anything wrong. Maybe the tree is dead? Maybe my screwlock biners will kill me? Maybe everything in my technique is wrong and you don't understand how I...

Any advice on how to get into a Redwood or Sequoia climb?

I'm here for the answers. Next summer I plan to tree climb the west coast too. Climbing just one big tree will make the trip worth it!

    warm preformance clothing?

When I first saw this thread I promised myself to stay away because I am far too obsessed with staying dry and warm (but not too warm) while being active in temps that are below zero degrees. I could write a book and still not feel content that I have fully conveyed my opinion on the subject...

    Load & tensile testing facilities...

Wonderful! Thanks Roxy! I'd love to see the test done in person so maybe one of the local places will allow me to do that. Haha, maybe. On the Treestuff link it says "this is not a certification". What is the difference between a computerized tensile test and a certification? Do major harness...
