My buddy bought a 19xp with the 174 hp cat. He has also had the derate problem. Pisses one off to spend that kinda money on a chipper and not be able to use it half the time.
We are just south of you guys in Huntsville, AL. We had several tornadoes through part of the city. Two of them came a couple of miles from my house. It's a huge mess. We have been working from 7:30 am to dark everyday until today. We had to stop to fix a leak on our crane. Well be back at it...
A lot of times we will carry 3 or 4 bundles
It does. Especially from big piles. Our chipper has way less idle time vs when we used a mini skid with a bmg.
We regularly forward material 100 plus yards. It can move 3 times what we can move with our mini skid and it's about half the speed...
Other than my cranes, it's the best money I've ever spent. It's been so good, we just bought a second one. Our mini skids sit at our shop unless it's to narrow to get the excavator through.
This is an upgrade over using a stump grinder attachment on our mini ex. For now, it's big enough for us. I wanted a new sg75 but didn't want to go into debt over it.
I bought a stump grinder. We have been grinding with my shop made head on our mini ex. It keeps killing hydraulic motors. They just dont hold up to the hammering action. I had originally intended it for smaller stumps and it's been pushed into service grinding 4 ft oak stumps. I hope this 2550...
I've had better luck with dealing with recommended heavy haul folks vs u ship. I've shipped 3 cranes so far. Time before last I used some guys the seller knew well out of Massachusetts. They were awesome to deal with. I'll get there contact info rounded up.
They still have a wheel with green teeth. That's what's in stock at our local dealer on the tracked sg40. The new revolution wheel is a $900 upgrade and teeth are 50% more per. We were thinking about running a rhino wheel. The dealer has a wheeled sg40 with the new revolution wheel on it but...
You better tell her to make sure they have insurance for tree work. Get a certificate issued with her name and address for n it and have her call to verify. That's scary cheap. Probably something is wrong.
Anybody have one of these? We are thinking about buying one for our tree service. We have subbed a bunch in the past but having subs with no workmans comp creates insurance issues. We have a grinding head I built for our mini ex but it keeps eating hydraulic motors. We also want something that...
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but if you cant afford a fine, you cant really afford a commercial truck. Even when you do everything right, you may still get fined. We recently went thru a dot checkpoint and got fined for something that is 100% legal in our state. Even have the state...
Already using the new crane around the shop. We picked up sterling 7500 parts truck the other day for the 3126 it had. It was easier to just lift it off the trailer d swing it around in front of the shop for disassembly.
Thanks. 30 ton with a 94 ft main. Also has a jib with a pull out section. I think 26 ft and 43 ft with the stinger out. It has 5700 lbs at 60 ft radius with 94 ft of main so it would certainly work to disassemble trees. It may not get much chance at that due to us having to hire someone with a...
