    Show off them splices

I found from doing the double braid SPlife that core reduction strand cuts should be matched with taper strand cuts to get a consistent core diameter.

    Show off them splices

No, I haven’t spliced that one, have been meaning to get some since it first came out. If no bumps or thin areas, probably as strong, percentage wise. I’ve recently come to the conclusion that the best way to splice this type of rope with Marlow’s method, is to tension the core strands at the...

The Click Up is more robust and cheaper, mine is the original model, there is a newer version. Knot and Rope Supply carries the older version.

It is the 8 mm Oplux, I like the similar RescTech better for its firmer core. The top cord is Sterlings 5.5mm V-T X, next down is Camp’s 5.5mm Cordino, and the 6mm core from 8mm Bailout on the bottom.

ROPE SOLD OUT New Sterling 11mm H3 Tech11, Bluewater 9mm CanyonLine, Edelrid Treecore harness, and Petzl Wirecore Flipline

All the ropes are new, and a little stiffer than RescTech. The 9.5mm CanyonTech is somewhat unique, Sterling gives it a static break strength, and ratings like dynamic ropes. The 9mm CanyonLine has the typical thicker cover and is more like 10mm. I’m dropping the price for the two to $1.00 a...

    Round stitching question.

The second end should exit out of the same opening as the first, and both in the intersection of four strands. Tie the two together a little above the rope so the knot can go inside a little to get fully buried.

    Sticht Hitch

Another way to tie the Stopper Knot In Back, makes tending very easy by eliminating the wedging action the twist causes.

Thanks for the quick response! Nice website, rope and cord by the foot is a great feature, also helpful to have the cover percentage.
