    Paraffin wax? An old bicycling trick was to dip your chain in melted paraffin wax. No petroleum lube for dust particles to attach, and your hands stayed clean when handling the chain. Graphite is a dry lubricant, but is messy. Don't know how you'd apply it on a crane.

    Nicely done. What are those above-ground pipes carrying? Natural gas? Seems like they would easily suffer from the occasional unplanned tree drop.

    Strange Big Shot malfunction

    That has happened to me with both my old wide and new narrow style Big Shot heads. I determined the pouch and elastic had rotated prior to each of the errant shots. Once I manually twisted the pouch back to its normalized position, everything was fine. 77°F here yesterday.

    If you look at website FreeFallin posted, you can access the instruction .pdf. Not only is it mid-line attachable, but it looks like the line can be bearing a load while attaching the device (rope is straight vertically in the diagram illustrating attachment).
