Good ol wikipedia says bridge and gantry cranes are one and the same, lol. I thought so, but wiki's just a click and a few keystrokes away, why not verify.
Kinda surprised you wouldn't know this mate, your sig is a crane rental biz.
Another advertrolling account I suspect, but I'll at least...
Hmm, gigantic boilers, interesting idea. Can't remember if I've mentioned it on here, but one of my planned ventures is building monolithic domes. Been planning our home for years, just waiting on my wife to finish her masters and figure if we're staying in this area or not before we buy land...
Are you looking for straight wood, pellet or mix? Only straight wood boiler system I have experience with is a Garn. I liked that the firebox on the Garn I was helping feed took 24-32" logs, and you fired it then just let it sit until you needed to load and fire again. How often is that...
Well, the big question for me is video quality during both day and night. NVR or DVR doesn't matter if they're recording crappy video. The main difference between the two systems is where you want it's "brain". In an NVR(network video recording) the cameras are "smarter", more to them because...
Ages ago, when I was a teen, we set up a counterbalance system to help handicapped scouts. We had a 45 ft tall 4 sided climbing tower at the camp, and we would set up a canvas duffle bag on the side opposite the one we were using with some weight, usually about 50-75% of the kid's weight...
Hmm, I wonder what the story is with the other skid steer? I see a bucket on what should be a big skid, it's well over the guy wearing dayglo's head, but I don't see a ROPS or a canopy on it. It's really amazing sometimes just what homeowners will do to save a buck.
Welltree, pretty sure it is a rebranded 1504, Smiley Crane Services is the US dealer for UNIC.
Reminds me, wasn't there a small crawler crane co that had a combo design? Small crawler crane and a custom truck bed that the crane locked into so that you could use it as a truck crane.
The Looper Block looks like it could be useful. It is offered in a version without the cordage, so you could splice your own. I also like the look of the Dynablocks, http://www.antal.it/index.php/en/blocks/snatch-blocks/dynablock
The Hook also looks like there could be some interesting uses...
Looks like an oversize Antal ring with the thin cordage held on with a couple zip ties. Kind of like they're using it as a fancy replacement for a stopper knot.
What compressor is needed depends a lot on the nozzle installed on the Air Spade. The Arborist/Landscaper kit from the mfg comes with either a 150 or a 225 cfm nozzle. I think both Baileys and Sherrill sell only the 150cfm model, and the mfg states that kit should be supplied via a 175 cfm or...
Weird accessory handle, looks like a great way to rack your balls on your chainsaw.
Whoops, now I feel like a donkey. Watch full vid, THEN comment. Scrolled through the comments, no real use of his right arm. Kind of impressive with that in mind.
Gasoline powered drill shouldn't be that expensive to rent for a weekend. Just texted my local guy, he says he rents out the Stihl gas drill for $36 a day, $200 for a week.
Well, I've climbed a few things taller than 300 feet(TV and Radio towers, and was a jug second on El Capitan), but none of em include a tree. It's on my bucket list as well.
Re: Big ol\' crane.
Well, their bill just for using the Panama Canal was $70,000... Makes any tolls I've dealt with seem miniscule.

Looks like that would be a fun company to work with, and I definitely like the idea of using the trees harvested locally.
Wish I were in the area, might try to take them up on this position. Haven't run a mill since I was a teenager, but that water cooled beastie looks like it might be...
I like that chipper setup from TCIA, the Boxer 322 should "only" add about 2000 lbs. Any way you slice it, the rig should be towed by something class 7 or 8 for any decent payload capacity.
With the Beever weighing in at approx 6 tons a non-cdl vehicle would only have about 2 tons capacity...
