    Typar Bio-Barrier

I use the Deep root system. I only use the chemical barriers if I have to cut the DR to allow access for the sprinkler systems and electrical.

    Tree cavity

This video at about 15:37 leaves a good argument for using hot tar. Personally, I do not have enough experience with tar to make an educated decision.

    Power House Mini Loaders

Thank you for the info. You have a good site. Is there anything in particular to look for in this model? Seems a bit pricy for a 10 yr old machine. Would I look to boxer for service parts? I am sure you could help with that if need be. Thanks.

    Power House Mini Loaders

    Stranger maple crud

With that removed and the installation of cables and bracing I would be surprised if you do not get another 5-7 years out of it. I bet it could use some vertical mulching with the compaction that takes place on a corner during game season. So air spade work would be in order for all of the...

    Stranger maple crud

That tree is struggling. What should have been the central leader is quite a bit smaller than the Codom. It would be tough to reduce and maintain canopy health with the weight reduction when finding a suitable branch to cable to in the Central leader. I am guessing that over half of the codom...

Is this an early fall turner like the new planting in the back ground or is there something more to this tree?

Opinions on the Computer Controlled Husq - 500 series

I did some searching on the reviews for the 201t and they were a lot of people not liking the saw. Some talked about having to make a bit of modifications out of the box to get it to perform. Now I go full circle back to the T435 Climbing saw. Less power than the 540. Half the price. Any...

Opinions on the Computer Controlled Husq - 500 series

I never got into the Stihl market because you had to go to the dealer. Now Husqvarna is forcing my hand at this. Question is: are the climbing saws that Stihl are making computer controlled yet?

Chronic Lung Problems from sawdust/grindings exposure

I heard that real salt works as an antihistamine/decongestant. Supposed to work on asthma attacks as well. Kind of interesting to say the least. As far as bio oil. I go to any store and pick up canola oil in the big jug. A lot cheaper than the $20/gallon for the same stuff with a thickening...

    D-Rings for Stake Pockets

I have a flat bed equipment trailer that did not come with D-rings. I was going to have some welded on but haven't gotten around to it. I just found these from a great trailer manufacturer. Just got 4 for a quick fix. I'll let you know how they work...

    Can you ID this tree

If you haven't spent a lot of time in poplars, be careful. They are not as strong as they look. Use 6" crotches for your tip and do not be afraid to double tie-in.
