Exactly. It's repair costs over payments, and I do almost all of my repairs.
That's good truck/camper. Do you have a bed in there? Any sink and table stuff?
That's a good point, but no way is their going to be 10,000+ lb sitting on the truck. I'm not going to put this old truck to the test.....or it's brakes.
This area has a strange mix of trees here, and I'm wondering what book/s locals are using for the tree weights around here.
My boss is going to start hiring the crane, so I need the charts.
Thanks

Hahahha......cough cough. Ehm! No problem ol' Jo. :D
Bicycle pump is a good idea........if I get the bags. My spring guy is telling me I can get 1500 - 2000 lb by adding two extra springs to each side. That's all I need to prevent added wear and tear on the suspension. To re-arch and cut 4 new springs is $700. That's a little cheaper than...
Funny thing is that the guy that re-arches refuses to sell or install air bags. He says he doesn't believe in them because they "rip, puncture, and tear out hoses....." We'll I could see fellas driving the 4x4 trucks through the sticks ripping up their rubber gear in the under carriage, but I...
I'm not thinking over loading the truck. I'm thinking over build the suspension by a few thousand lb capacity to keep from wearing out my springs so quickly again. I don't plan on buying new ones, so I'm concerned about them flattening back out sooner than what I would be okay with.
I'm...
I have a 9 spring pack with an overload spring floating over the top of the pack. The truck is a class 3 rated for 14,000 lb.
If I add a spring to each side, what kind of payload capacity am I adding on to it?
I learned that the fuzzy junk in palm trees is a killer if you are one handing. It catches the chain wrong, and the bar kicks back very sharply. Someone unknowing could have their safety line above their bar while cutting, and cut their line. Two hands on the saw in the palms.

I know the springs are shot because of how the truck sways much too much, but I actually crawled under there and behind the tires today. The springs are completely flat! And the top/longest spring on the passenger side is bent backwards at the bushing. No wonder it sags on the right side.
I...
Mark,
I usually would DIY all of that, and put the air bags on myself too, but I have to get some chainsaw parts, so I can DIY the chainsaw work I need to do at home this week. I'm just going to drop off the dump truck at the shop, and let the pros get it right the first time. I like to do my...
I'm slightly against pulling the springs off of something at the junk yard because they probably are shot too.
But I'm thinking about what you said; no bags without refurbished springs or new ones.
Thanks, TD
I've seen this thing being sold a few times, and I never thought anything of it except for being a profitable gimmick for the guy that sells them.
The application it's being used for at 2:25 in the video astonished me. To be able to install a TIP or a rigging point in the middle of air...
