My 4500 did the same exact thing. It was low on coolant. The señor worked just fine, its just when the engine gets hot and starts to suck coolant form the reserves it was pulling it below the sensor by about a tablespoon. That sensor dosn't know it your a tablespoon low or a gallon.
Don't you sell them? Most often you can get the job done without a Wraptor.....not the case without a GRCS. Buying one allows you do to the job you would have to pass on or bring a crane in. Plus, most companies have bucket trucks or track lift.
I think you will regret selling that. I have one as well.....and hardly ever use it. One storm this spring rolled through and I needed it for a tricky tree. I was so thankful that I didn't sell mine.
200 HP? How would that do fully loaded pulling a 9800 pound chipper? I also can't stop looking to this truck. Its a nice rig and would be perfect for our second crew!! But has to be able to pull a chipper up hills.....Im not looking for top speed but I don't want the slowest truck on the road...
Clogger Zeros....for the summer. They are expensive. I don't really care for Sherrill but the Notch brand is a little less expensive and seam to be pretty heavy duty. Time will tell on that. Guys will need a minimum of 2 pairs I would think. 3 would be ideal. We are also switching over to...
Its a hard problem!! We get this all the time with people wanting to be home to watch. I actually really dislike the customer who wants to watch the whole day. But thats just me. We come to town sometimes with 5 different trucks and it is entertaining to watch. My problem as the owner and...
This is true. Like @climbhightree we started with a used small crane and then upgrade a year later to something brand new. Slightly bigger.....now we want another one that's even bigger. It might never end. I tend to focus on the positives of our current crane. Like the fact it has such a small...
I agree with this. I just bought a used Morbark 15" that was sold by a farmer. I jumped on it before someone grabbed it to flip it. With the prices I am seeing I could spend 4K on fresh paint and sell this chipper for a profit. But I am going to run it and make my money their.
One of the issues is that as an employer these costs can add up quickly. Im 100 % about safety. But sometimes the keeping up with the jones in regards to clothing and climbing gear can be costly and doesn't always help to her the job done quicker or more efficient.
Their are 5 of us at my...
My thoughts on this are: If your applying at my company for a climbers position....you better have your own gear. That gear better be in good shape, and of modern advances. If you are hired, you get a 400 dollar a year gear stipend to buy whatever gear you want that is extra. The company...
Even doing dangerous work.....with proper training, good health, a good mind set and experience I believe you can safely work 10 hours a day for 5 days a week. Just make sure to take some proper rest days. Its a mind set. I just wouldn't do it for 30 an hour. Pay me 60 an hour and I would...
I agree with this...Really think about this before you head down. My guys made more pruning sugar maples from the ground with pole saws today than this assignment. 30 an hour is just not worth it when compared to our market rates. Might be different for some. When we do storm work I double my...
No, in Vt and NH where we do a majority of our work we pay 26% on the salary of our employees. This includes bonus's as well. So, if I have an employee who makes 100K a year..I pay them 100K then I pay W/C insurance 26K. Then, I pay half of the payroll taxes which include state tax, federal...
If your in business...get used to W/C. Its based on exposure. So it doesn't matter if you never have a claim...it all depends on the money you pay your employees. I hate it....its hard to project what those expenses will be. Im not looking forward to my audit this year. We have worked a ton...
