    I’m planning to be there Saturday to watch. Alum Creek Campground would probably be about 25-30 minutes away from the Ohio State arboretum I’m guessing. There might be someplace closer to camp in a smaller park in Columbus. Maybe ask if they will allow camping at the Arboretum?

    I’ve noticed dawn redwood are susceptible to winter damage in Ohio as well. Sometimes they almost look stunted.

    Just a follow up on this post. Some of the splits totally closed over and the worst ones hopefully will be closed by the end of this growing season. I’m definitely convinced it was the Arctic blast we had that winter that cracked my kitchen window.
