Yeah, I was gonna say for California.... We're required to follow the label obviously but also need to generally be at least 14 mil and I believe 14 inches long. I would check state/city regulations and follow the labels.
Only time I extended the bridge was the occasional limb walk back using SCAM method. Worked well but ended up giving up the adjustable bridge for simplicity. There's other ways to accomplish the same task but it's fun to mess around to see what works.
Yale 11.7 flattened too much for the akimbo in my experience. To the point I had the akimbo maxed and hitches wouldn't hold great.. otherwise great ropes. Worked great for a few hours but flattened pretty quick.
Idk, doubt it would give you much more or a defense. Probably the opposite if you did it if you're not TRAQ. It would give the customer a more objective understanding of the associated risks for them (tree manager) to make appropriate management decisions within their acceptable threshold for...
Lol yeah, the other thing is is soaks through the pants onto my legs. I think I'll try to put together some water resistant patches I can clip on with magnets or something. Not a big deal, just figured others might have the same issue. Thanks
Yeah, just wondering if anyone has preferred pads or alternatives they really like. I've tried knee pads in the past and can't stand wearing them around. Might be skinny calf muscles or something, can't stand saw pod either.. Perhaps I'm the only one with this issue lol. For now my preferred...
I guess that's an option. Throwing on chaps does seem a bit excessive to protect a 4x6 inch area around the knees though. Perhaps a bit odd for consulting and PHC work but hey if it works lol.
What's up guys, I seem to frequently get sap on the knee area of my pants while doing consulting and trunk injection work. Aside from cleaning them all the time, does anyone have any easy on and off knee pad/sleeve solutions that are comfortable af to work with? Would be nice if I just had a...
I feel lucky to know the "inventor" of the Michoacán. Super cool/knowledgeable dude with a real passion for climbing and teaching. Bitch'n hitch and variation too.
Awesome thanks! I'd love to see a pic of one/prototype. Definitely on the list for when it comes out. Haven't learned my lesson from the ultra link lol.
Thanks good to know, I've thrown it on my squir lanyard a few times and seemed to work fine. I just didn't want to risk flattening it too much and impact the bite of my hitch.. It worked fine-good on my other ropes but flattened them beyond my comfort after a few days. When you say Big Akimbo...
Another +1 on the akimbo, there's room for improvement but has become my go to the last 9 months or so. I've owned rrp, hhxf, and cbdb, at the end of the day the akimbo works excellent for my style. Just don't expect it to switch and adjust smoothly between ropes types lol. Works great on...
