    Vermeer 1400XL Problems

    I have a new (110hrs) Vermeer 1400XL Chipper that has blown (not burnt) 2 clutches. The rivets have sheared off of the clutch plate. The last clutch lasted only 15 hours even though we were sure to touch up the blades and check the gap 2x/day. Anyone ever hear of this?
