Anyone here buy the gold porta wrap or gold saw tooth on sale a while back?? Those were cool I almost went for it but didn't, not a bad investment the way gold has gone up.
Oh yeah porta wraps rule, never leave the shop without one!
So this tree now goes to the bid that tree section!?? Not bad access but small gate into back yard so no big pieces coming out. Most likely no machines in the back yard but can stage lift in the brick driveway. Lotta wood!
Just a little update since its good news, after I cleaned the saw (last spring) thoroughly with brake clean its been running like new, haven't touched a spark plug since. Somthing was gummed up (no thanks to our pitch pine sap) but all good now, thanks again to you guys for your suggestions.
In that closeup pic u can see a loop of line sticking out , you can also kinda see the indentation around the trunk in the most recent trunk pic I posted. It’s heavy duty line , no rotted at all. You can ignore the little scratch from the white pine removals I did yesterday .
Was just a the site going to remove some white pines under the white oak. I did a good inspection for you guys and guess what the big tree service apparently didn’t see ! Girdled !!! too late the try to cut it out I assume ?
I haven't either yet, if Im over primary wires Ill under cut and pull the branch up into the bucket with me to boom over and chuck it , thats the only time I suppose it could happen.
Most of them have one, its an emergency override button. Let not go re wiring this stuff , let the manufacturers design the machines LOL! I sound old but cmon , once you get used to the pedal its second nature, you don't even realize doing it.
Yikes, no thanks, I can cut and grab a limb, boom over and drop it while foot on the pedal, my bucket it double wide too, doesn't seem like it would be worth messing with the deadman switch but just my opinion. If your working near wires or other obstacles that would be one more thing that could...
You have some experience so it will be gravy. Rule #1 must be followed always, even for going up 10'. I find with all booms and machines on of the most important thing besides safety is learning where to set up so you can reach everything but also keep the equipment out of the way/ "drop zone"...
Next time I talk to the landscaper Ill get more info on the time line of the deck and hard-scape. Thank you all again for your ideas and professional opinions.
Looks like a while ago it could have been back filled, good call! I think the trunk is just mossy , its on the North side of the tree North side of the house so proably gets very little sun. Ill keep monitoring and posting, it will be interesting to see if it gets better or I end up removing it...
Here's the tree this morning, I snuck a trunk picture too, Im not sure what has or hasn't been done to the tree since the past picture. I'm not involved in the treatment but if the tree croaks Ill be cutting it down. Looks sort of the same to me.
Going to get back out there soon to get a current pic. My local mega tree service is going to remove grass from the area under the tree, I think maybe air spade the root system, and feed I believe. I didnt get details because its all going though the landscaper but will keep you guys posted!
Quickbooks , the old one doesn't require subscription but the new one is monthly/annual. Ive been using an old version but its is getting glitchy for sure, Ill have to go to QB online at some point. The bonus about online is the ease of access to books for the bookkeepers and tax people but the...
