Sorry forgot to mention that the system is really compact that for the RW to be fully open takes a lot of effort compared to when i had a long tether and crab. The distance of movement between the two setups is vast one bing 12cm of totally slack distance between the two bits of kit and with a...
Hi, Yep Lockjack, the way it is tethered to the RW will allow engagement even if the RW slips, trial and error found this out. Using a crab and tether can result in failure to bite, no fails from this close setup and i have been giving it the chance to fail when i was testing the combo. Haven't...
Hi everyone,
I had a very simple birch removal this weekend and used the Rope Wrench, I stripped the crown out with my handsaw as it was, well easy and no need for noise off the chainsaw wreaking the moment.
I filmed it on this tree as i wanted an honest climbing perspective for people to...
Hi Guys,
i got a bit of free time to film me using the Wrench. I stripped the crown out with the handsaw because well i felt like it, haha, then finished up with the saws.

Re: SINGING Rope Wrench with the Lock Jack!

Here is my set up on my new Kolibri saddle. I have one Navaho Boss with sternal croll and dorsal attachment that works well for upright rope walkin and when there is alot of sitting required.
Worked another very large pine and sugar today...
It seems to work well because of the friction caused by the wrench it acts in the same way as it would on a drt line, i have been cautious when climbing on it this way with a art back-up line 'just in case', like i said just seeing if it works, next plan is a good limb walk to see if the same...
Hi,
Im just getting to grips with the Rope Wrench and have been trying different set-ups, knots and more recently using the Lockjack. I only had a low and slow play with it but decided to take a picture before i put it away. Thought it might be of interest to anyone, someone, no-one.
Hey all,
Firstly thanks for the kind replies.
I think the general movement in the UK seems to be moving towards lower friction climbing systems, pulleysavers and Spiderjack combo for instance. The Rope Wrench is also seeming to be becoming big as more people are using SRT to access the tree...
Not a giant but still required lowering because of its position. I had my experience climber running the rope and showing the newbie how to do it. I made sure i got to a safe climbing position just incase he didn't let it run. Anyway nothing compared to a Reg video but thought id share it.

Hello everyone,
Hope you all had a great Thanks giving in the US. We've got one more month before we eat turkey in the UK.
So can anyone tell me the difference between;
Tachyon & Teufelberger Tachyon other than the colour.
Cheers
Ian
Just a quick edit thrown together whilst trying new film edits.

I stripped the trees out a bit instead of felling as all material had to go back into the wood so for the extra few minutes this seemed more logical.
There are better films on my channel
Thanks for...
I filmed this a while back. Had a little bit in-experienced grounds man for some of the bits. But job went nicely. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qC1neNASzfE
