    Today....

Do you drink protein shakes? I take one every morning and also one after a hard day, just before bed. I try to sleep 7 to 8 hours. It helps with muscle and tissue repair. Not a magic bullet but I truly believe it makes a difference. I’m sorry to hear about your shoulder.

I can’t believe you commando guys don’t chafe!! Seriously?!?! Tight fitting, moisture wicking Polyester boxer briefs is all I wear- not too brand picky. Otherwise my inner thighs get a chafing rash when I sweat. I’m not obese except for an ice cream/dad belly. I’ll do commando with swimming...

    Buckingham Velcro lower spur straps.

Looks like a great idea as long as the material doesn’t break down too quickly and woody materials don’t get caught on the ratchet system.

Things that likely frustrate every climber at least once in their career

Things that likely frustrate every climber at least once in their career

Throw line grabbing and tightly wrapping around every little twig on the site. I swear, we could forego raking and just drag several 20’ lengths of throw line across the lawn and it would clean up all the twiggy debris.

    A botanist’s home

A friend purchased a new home and the previous owner is a botanist. This specimen caught my eye. Any ideas? Most of the plantings are small exotic bushes and flowers. There are also 2 pear trees (maybe Bradford but look like a slightly different variety) which I’m hoping the botanist did NOT plant!

Please help. I don’t recognize this one

I wish I could have known that. When I got into trees I was removing them after being dead for years. I’m shocked to see any untreated living ones in our area.

Did a certified arborist evaluate the said rot and send a certified letter to the owner informing him of such? Without that letter, it’s just hear say imho

Please help. I don’t recognize this one

I feel like a moron. The leaves threw me off. I can spot an ash a mile away when dead but only ever have I seen one living specimen and that was a BEHEMOTH! It had been receiving injections. I can’t believe I didn’t recognize the bark. I knew it looked familiar but it had leaves!! Thanks guys.

    Cab over towing

I loved the Isuzu NPR cab over. Visibility and maneuverability were first class. I didn’t enjoy having to re situate the cab contents to check oil though.

Please help. I don’t recognize this one

These 2 were planted purposefully less than 30 years ago in Maryland. Both have a swollen trunk flare (possible characteristic of species?) One is in decline.

    Financing for customers

The plumbing company I work for uses Wells Fargo. 12 months at 0 interest for the customer. We pay the something like 5% interest on the loan which is figured into the general overhead. We get paid quickly from Wells Fargo and the homeowner makes 12 monthly payments. If the homeowner misses a...

Removing a large portion of the canopy

Too many people top trees around my area. They need to pass a state exam making them Tree Experts after 3 years in the field in order to work on a tree. You’d think that would fix the horrible “trim” jobs. In nearly all cases I’ve been involved with, the company never explained or wrote the...

Please, tell me more. Are you speaking about multiple x rings down the limb to more evenly distribute the forces generated? Do you mean x ring specific or any ring?

    MAD for residential service drops

I agree that most of the Chinese knock offs aren’t up to par with their applications. But, yeah, after the explanation, as long as it’s a piece of thick rubber then it will be fine. Kinda hard to mess that up. It’s just for a very small fraction of their “rating” anyway. I certainly wouldn’t...
