    Lanyard Positioner?

Do you have a little jerkiness at times? I figures more surface area of rope in contact with the device would make for a smoother release- easier to find a sweet spot. Could be wrong.

    Lanyard Positioner?

I love the Art2 positioner with swivel. It can be a little jerky with my 11.7 dia. lanyard though. I’d imaging a full 1/2” line would be smoother.

Yes. Basically on 2 streets. This kind of work is all around me. They even do it to 80’ 48” DBH trees.

All in one neighborhood. There was plenty more though. Bad trims and lots of topping. Most taken from the vehicle.

Lets see some shit... Shitty tree work picks from other companies in your area.

I know there’s more of these pictures stored in my phone but this was readily available. Sometimes I drive through a neighborhood and see 20 trees hat racked. I’ve removed quite a few large previously topped trees and they are not easy, especially when rigging is involved. It’s nearly always...

Lets see some shit... Shitty tree work picks from other companies in your area.

I don’t like doing that to crepe Myrtle’s but I did it once. It was way too big for its spot and they needed to see their kids in the pool from the deck, kitchen, and dining room. It’s now down to a level they can maintain yearly. Even though Myrtle’s are akin to weeds and there was a good...

    Racist plant names, common, scientific

While not racist, it goes along with the “don’t you have other, more important things to worry about” mentality. Apparently California had serpentinite as their state stone and, through an act of congress, it was removed of its title on the grounds that serpentinite contains a small quantity of...

    Samson Hyperclimb 150' like new

I love Hyperclimb. I have 200’, 100’, and 75’ hanks depending on the tree height. The Akimbo is adjusted to go between all 3 without issue. I will say that there is a little more slippage on the 75’ as it’s not used as much but still within a comfortable experience.

    Tulip poplar -rec climb?

It wouldn’t concern me. You can tap on it with a rubber mallet to see if it’s hollow. Even if it’s hollow, I’d climb it.

    Tulip poplar -rec climb?

I basal anchor a vast majority of the time unless I’m drt which is only for certain removals. Not concrete advice but just what I do.

    Tulip poplar -rec climb?

I have (2) tulip poplars in a small swath of woods in our backyard. They are about 120’. I max out a 200’ climb line in them approximately once a month for rec climbing purposes. IMO a health 4” crotch loaded in compression is plenty strong in that species. Just my lowly opinion.

‘Excessive prices’ - Michigan AG sues tree service LLCs, owner

Billing insurance as much as possible is getting a foothold in the tree world. There’s a Facebook group and classes on it. It’s been happening in the damage restoration industry and construction industry for years. Certain businesses know the insurance regulations and use that knowledge to get...

    Post accident discussion

Yup, too lazy to carry and set up one pulley biner! I just muscle my way through. I do have a 20’ lanyard that I’ll use as a drt line attached to the tip of the limb to help ease back towards the trunk while avoiding a potential swing. If I was in a tree everyday, the muscling is potentially a...

You just pull yourself back in? That’s what I do. Use the akimbo on srt and it self tends pretty well as I go hand over hand. I’m too lazy to carry and set up a 3:1 I suppose.
