    Body care

Under no circumstances am I willingly getting into an ice bath.

    Force vectors

I didn't notice any errors in your calculations. However, I'm at a total loss trying to picture the application, especially when the ring (or other hardware) may slap the hull. Don't "standard" solutions exist that achieve the goal of this rigging?

    My Stress

The disregard for managing the thrust load of the roof make me think there was little to no engineering. Builders figured out solutions for this problem 1500 years ago. How this house plan was approved for construction is hard to fathom.

    Visor scratch removal?

Anyone try acetone? (With a technique similar to restoring headlights, i.e. one quick wipe with an acetone saturated pad to "melt" the surface smooth, then don't touch until hard and dry.)

    Make Us Laugh :)

I'm transitioning from lawn care to tree felling.

What do your evenings off look like?

If I'm working in the Caribbean, my evenings off look much the same. If I'm at home and the weather is nice, I like to enjoy a cocktail on the little deck I built in the back of my wooded backyard.

Depth gauge setting (can of worms)

Thanks for posting that. I never thought about the cutter link pivoting action. (I've had no reason to think about that. Usually, I'm concerned with more pressing issues like "Where did I put my keys?") Anyhow, this slo-mo video is interesting.

Depth gauge setting (can of worms)

I've had the same issue with the factory spec giving poor cutting results on various chains. Like you, I let the saw and chips tell me if the depth gauges are set correctly.

    Body care

I tend to sleep well, but I have friends that take Benadryl at bedtime when we're at big campout events (so they can sleep despite the late night partiers.) We do have an air purifier in the bedroom. Run it at night just for the white noise. Puts me to sleep in an instant.

    Arborist Assistant position in SC

If the arborist assistant may make $15.50/hr, I'm surprised there are any groundies to supervise. Especially with today's job market.

    alternating between SRT and DdRT

Not exactly sure what that means, but I'll counter with "alternating between SRT and DdRT" is a hack.

    alternating between SRT and DdRT

Lol. I've got my old knee ascender from the mid 80's in the basement.

    SGR removal and air chisel

Am I the only one that finds a chainsaw to be a useful tool for SGRs?

    Stump Grinder Trailer Set Ups

I don't get it. With the tools perfectly horizontal, won't they slide back and forth and possibly fall or blow out? If a method of securing them in place is added, that would likely detract from the convenience. A decent slope or vertical arrangement seems better.

Structural question on a crape myrtle

I'm no expert, but the idea of bracing or cabling a crape myrtle seems laughable. Crape myrtles can give cockroaches lessons on how to survive anything and keep coming back. I've climbed many large ones for pruning and have no reservations about using branches no bigger than my wrist for a TIP...

Structural question on a crape myrtle

FWIW, crape myrtles are very popular in my area and I can't ever recall seeing a structural failure.

Arb pro neo vs clip n step vs evo2

I'd be happy if more boots (and shoes) were available in extra wide widths. I'm a EEE width so buying footwear is usually an exercise in finding something tolerable.

    Pole Saw Laceration

A friend's father came by to watch me take down a tree the other day. He was missing half a fingertip. Fell off a ladder while using an electric planer. Ouch!

    Taryl vs the BR600 Bushing

That guy has 8+ videos about not using Stihl Ultra. Almost seems like a crusade.

    Pole Saw Laceration

Thanks for sharing and I hope your recovery goes well and isn't too lengthy. I'll tuck your experience in the back of my mind for considering "what could possibly go wrong" when using a pole saw.
