    Tree removal help

Jgreene, There is nothing wrong with asking for advice when you don't know something, especially in this industry. I have done so many times and value the feedback I have gotten from some of the best in the industry. The difference with your post is that you are trying to do something very...

    Used Bucket Truck - Opinions

Well....Seems like hind of a lot for how beat up it is? Also, isn't the F650 a little underpowered for a forestry bucket truck? Nothing wrong with older used truck if it structurally sound, especially the boom. I have an older Ford F800 (ex asplundh unit) with an altec boom that is great. I...

    Thinking about going to husky

Husky is much less of a beast to run for long periods of time. My 395 xp's are my best friend! Awesome with a 36' and will pull a 42' on conifers no problem! Great saw, highly recommended. Ben

Having a vibration in my chipper

I grease my 200+XP everyday and was under the impression (via Bandit) that you could not over grease them. As was said above, excess just pushes out. The only disadvantage is that a lot of excess will attract dust and debris but you will still have happy bearings. Ben

    Previously topped trees....

I wanted to ask everyone's thoughts on general protocol when pruning previously topped trees. Obviously there are a million different situations that would necessitate different courses of action but i am looking for a general answer. If you have a tree that was improperly pruned via many...

Men who don't wear gloves, step forward.

Re: Men who don\'t wear gloves, step forward. I always wear gloves when I climb, just the thinnest nitrile they make. But, on a side note, I used to be a Pro Downhill Mtn Bike racer a few years ago (seems like a lifetime) and I NEVER wore gloves. I could not get the "feel" of the handlebar...

Ok all, I'm finally going to try and incorporate SRT into my work. Obviously I will rec. climb on it a bunch "slow and low" before bringing to the job site. That being said, I will list the gear I've got and hopefully you all can give some helpful hints from your own extensive experience to...
