    On my bandit there is a brake of a sorts, thst rubs on the drum so it doesnt free spool and make a birds nest. I would look to see if there is something like that on the vermeer.

    Oh, they said you need to install the new pins into holes drilled with a press. Handheld drill worked fine for me, no extra measures taken besides "ya that looks about level and square". Actually kohler says you gotta pull the crankshaft out. Ya right.

    Call dave at top notch. My Thomas ate a pump spline. We switched it out for a boxer equivalent. I replaced the engine side spline too, ill post a pic on my other pc of how to get it out. Need to grease them once a year. I just took mine apart and couldn't believe how worn it already was.
