Royce. If you have intentions on moving logs longer than two feet, or dont want your groundy to have to position them for you (both shown in video above) go with a bmg.
Im betting there is less than 1 toro grapple for every 50 bmgs.
Good luck!
Pretty cool jamin. My biggest issue with those lifts, and from going to running my rear mount from a spider lift was not being abke to go over center. Telescop boom sure did put us in some cool places though. Not being a true rear mount has its drawbacks too.
Ya ryans look nice. I dont get the need for rotator. I can pick up a bottle cap with the bmg. Well, used too. New machine put a damper on that.
Ive never tried to be honest. Smallest length I've split is 4 feet.
I don't have much pre cut rounds around here. Just log length.
Cant imagine it would be much different.
I bust up large rounds and chip them. Large as in 24"+ and 6-12' long. Its splits them awesome. I also use it for the same diameter hardwood logs and stack them for reserve firewood or just making them easier to manage. I found it slightly used on ebay, and so glad i have it around. So worth...
Ever consider a grapple trailer. One of the best items in my kit. Hard to swallow the cost if your buying new, but after owning a used one id do what I have to do to get one.
Sold my dumper to get it and have only wished I had the dumper to haul dirt.
