    CRANE!! AM I DREAMING?

I had to look that difference up. All I am really familiar with is boom trucks. If you were going tandem and getting a 26 ton or bigger for tree work, I would want a rear mounted boom. Check out some auctions. Lots of nice 900a cranes rear mounted on peterbuilts selling for around 67k.

    CRANE!! AM I DREAMING?

I'd get a boom truck over a rough terrain crane. Can you even plate those rough terrain cranes? I know you just got a grapple truck but I still like the idea of a boom truck to set logs on.

    Milling urban trees

I bought a Lucas mill this year to take advantage of some of the nice hardwood trees we cut down. I started with a chainsaw mill but its way too much work to be profitable. The lucas mill allows us to make slabs as well as dimensional lumber.

    Cable winch on Bandit 1590

I found the gates on the clips always getting bent off. No matter how many times I told the guys how to orient the gate, they would break them off. You can still use a snap without the gate but its not as easily used unless constant tension is kept on the line. Whats with all the extra...

    Cable winch on Bandit 1590

Our SOP is that the winch line is attached to a log or put away if the feed wheels are going. With that simple rule, you will never have a line sucked in with hardware on the end.

    Cable winch on Bandit 1590

I bought the hardware on the no knot winch that tree stuff sells. This is hands down the way to go for winch lines/hardware. Dummy proof. I already had a nice amsteel line so I found another vendor to sell the hardware. Check out the tree stuff link...

    Greenwheel?Quadwheel?ReverseSwheel?

The philosophy behind the greenwheel is the reduced tooth count is superior by design. I think its funny now they keep adding teeth to these other wheels and saying the added teeth improve performance. I've never used any of the greenteeth products. Only my vermeer yellow jackets which seem fine.
