    Ottawa/Gatineau area rec climbers?

I’m a greenhorn looking for people to learn from. I’ve only been climbing for a little over a year.

    3D printed throw weights

This is my heaviest weight being acetone vapour smoothed. Makes for a slick glossy surface.

    My rope launcher (pneumatic)

I thought of doing that but i also dabble in robotics so the electrical component of the project was a natural fit. You are correct though this ain’t a sniper rife so tight grouping’s are out. :)

    3D printed throw weights

Just spit balling here but I could encapsulate lead shot in West System epoxy. If the unit broke the internal weight package would be a solid unit and bonded to the plastic cover. The epoxy would also maintain unit integrity.

I could also use a length of solid steel cylinder. It will take care of the voids that would be created by using bbs. I don’t know in what $ range your suggestion would fall or its available form factors and availability in general considering today’s supply chain shortages.

Seem a problematic polymer to print with. https://www.3dsourced.com/3d-printer-materials/hdpe-3d-printing/

Maybe depleted uranium would be a better option. Lol. I think I’ll stick with steel for now.

    3D printed throw weights

On initial review I don’t see enough to constitute infringement. The shape is similar (not the same) that’s about it.
