Options on good mid-range to larger saws

Makita 64.. and the Dolmar 64.. bump to 84cc both do it. I just assumed that was normal for them. Now I will have to look at carbs.

Options on good mid-range to larger saws

Once you get them started they cut nice. They don't have that distinctive "burp" so you can miss it and flood them while trying to start it. The one I got has the big bore kit on it but my Makita is the same way. Once you get used to it you know better but if you are also running Stihl's or...

Metal flakes in the eye, I am okay as is my eye.

The variable auto darkening are nice, especially if you weld various metals and/or methods. I just went with a Vulcan for @$150.

The grind mode on the new helmet is a nice feature. I was fabricating all and it was nice to just hit the switch and not have to keep flipping it up or taking it off entirely. Now I just need to get a cheater lens for it and a headlamp.

Metal flakes in the eye, I am okay as is my eye.

I stopped and got a new welding helmet with grind mode that way I can just leave it on when grinding. Full face protection when grinding and less flipping the helmet up and down all day.

Metal flakes in the eye, I am okay as is my eye.

Had a cutoff wheel hit something it wasn't supposed to and showered my face with steel sparks. Had my safety glasses on but 3 pieces still managed to find my eye. Eye doctor removed them all but I will be bloodshot and weepy eyed in my left eye for a few days. Just a reminder that you just can't...

    ramps for mini skid

Wet ramps, and turf tires, truck on side angle. I was heading up and got about waist high when it started sliding off ramps. Luckily it got caught on the undercarriage of the Dingo and did not come all the way off. I will admit there was a WHOLE LOT of stupid on my end.

I think my ramps are 12ft and my bed height is 42 inches. That is a scarry ride.

    wheels/ tires for mini skid

I do so far. I do switch back to the bars and sometimes add the chains if I will be in soft or sloppy dirt all day. But for grass or street the treads work better. In the snow it becomes debatable depending on the depth and mixture.

    wheels/ tires for mini skid

My bar treads came on the Dingo. When I switched to turf I just typed the size and ended up finding wheels and tires from one of the online golf cart shops for @$30 each. They are 4 ply and want 40-50 psi but I have been running 20psi since I put them on.

Thanks Mert. I am hoping your job today still has some work left so I can get dirty. See you this afternoon.
