    Nope, holds knots great. Tie them just as you tie any anchor piece. I use cow hitches (with, or without a half hitch, or a timber hitch).

    My sentiments exactly. Way too many people these days are combining aerial friction devices with lowering devices when they shouldn't be and just slamming the shit out of themselves, their gear and The Tree! Know Your Friction!
