There was some fierce competition between the TF and the TM harness when they were being developed and a lot of that was posted right here on the Buzz (as Tom D and I remember). I remember it kind of personal after they came out for sale and people started questioning the rings on the TF. That...
I have the Camp Tree Evo Dave and it is a knockoff of the TF for sure but not nearly as good, so I gave it to one of my climbers. He seems to like it though.
I think that I own the last new TreeFlex harness in the world (thank you again Paolo for your awesome design) and I am still trying to find one more for when this one wears out.
Anybody have one out there that they want to sell?
Be careful when you say "never" as you will limit your thinking in many rigging situations. When you understand rigging, you will realize that there are times when you do need to either stand a piece (or sometimes even lower it down so that its tip-heavy), in order to get it to fit into an LZ...
Again, NOT true. Having been field tested for a number of years in many, many different rigging applications, not just crane rigging, they have proven their value. Now, if you're an idiot and you don't TDS your knots, than you're asking for trouble.
Also, for those of you who haven't worked...

I bought a set when they first came out, but realized quickly that 1/2" Amsteel was better for my use, so I spliced my own set and use them all the...
So I have a question for you guys. When rigging pieces out and you have a chance to stand the piece up, do you do it, or try to rig it horizontal and balanced?
I have down it both ways and really don't have a preference. Some people think that it can be tricky to stand a piece up, but I have...
Can't think of a better tree book...except maybe The Wild Trees.
BTW, I never was able to get the manifesto. Seems no one wants to release it. Makes me wonder why?
