No More TreeFlex Saddle?

@DSMc ZThat does look close. It might allow the low hip-bone support unique to the Tree Flex
I was about to get this saddle with the gold upper harness till I read reviews that it pinched the nether reasons like crazy. Still waiting to find someone to speak to that actually has one to make sure the reviews aren’t just spite. But noteworthy reviews enough to be sure to test before buying...

Doesn't pinch my Family Jewels, but it does on one of my climbers REAL bad. My other climber has no complaints about it.

Looks like it would be a lot cheaper to manufacture than a TM.
There was some fierce competition between the TF and the TM harness when they were being developed and a lot of that was posted right here on the Buzz (as Tom D and I remember). I remember it kind of personal after they came out for sale and people started questioning the rings on the TF. That was the main reason Paolo stopped posting here on the Buzz.

I have owned both the TM and the TF and I prefer the TF, but I have nothing but good things about the TM. If it came with a ventral attachment point to attach my Croll than I would buy another one.

I tried the camp at arborfest and found it to pinch. Maybe if I had the time to dial it in it would have been better, but if I remember correctly I couldn't get it off soon enough. That said everyone's fit is different and it may be a better ride for you than me.

I have read about a dozen reviews that said the same thing...

The closest harness to the TF that I have found (besides the Camp) the Sequoia SRT, but their new ventral attachment point is designed for a rock harness belay point and looks like it sucks.
I love the belay loop on the Sequoia SRT! Very comfortable to sit in. Not great for attaching the Top, which I have to use, but as a suspension point it's great. Much better than the one on the Treerex, that is pretty much unusable...

That's good to hear, as that will probably be my next harness. You have the new 2019 model?

Yep, manufactured in sep. 2020
I do like it, but it is much less comfortable than the Treemotion, which is my private harness. Especially when on spurs with a backhandle, or really streched out sideways on a limbwalk, you'll notice the not so great backpad.
I didn't have much choice for my work harness though, because I needed an optional ventral attachment Point, but wanted a bridge, since that's what I'm used to. The choice between the 2019 sequoia and the treecore was easy. It is a great harness for what I use it for (ropes course construction), but not that great for tree climbing in my opinion. I'm thinking about adding a second adjustable bridge, and running it through the same ring as the stock one, that way it would still be sort of certified...

Paolo B..
A genuine, Sincere, Nice person. Took the time to respond to my pm's regularly. So much emphasis on ergonomics. Ahead of the game. Never in his inner circle, but my level of respect for the man is upper tier.
