Thanks Steve, that makes sense. Are the tilt functions programmed with the buttons as well? I would be terrified to mess with the wiring in the crane remote!
Thanks for the pictures and the info climbhigh. It is a different remote, but the concept sounds exactly the same. Did your remote...
For you guys that have the saw programmed through the paddle remote, what paddle(s) do you use on the remote? If every paddle on my remote already has a crane function, is this still possible?
I am in the same boat. With the Academy being in Indy this time I am considering it as well. I am looking forward to what others have to say about this topic.
We have had our 83hd shut down since late February/early March, after it was inspected following the incident in Wisconsin. Cracks were found in the same location these failures have occurred. All Access is trying to put lip stick on the pig. Not good at all, and shame on them.
The scoops excel during cleanup for big messy removals, or even a messy prune (think Honeylocust), and there is nothing better for cleaning up stump debris. The scoops are very turf friendly.
The scoops and the rake are both great for moving snow in the winter. With 5-6" of snow or less, you...
Dave, you will love to hear this... our original Giant 254t is just about to hit 4000 hours. It is a stud. If only all tree care equipment was this reliable.
We do have a a new 254t with around 200 hours, but I still prefer the old girl.
Thanks Deevo. I was curious if you were referring to AmSteel Blue as well. It makes more sense to me now that you are referring to the Wesspur Quantum slings.
Edi, your profile says you are located in Lisle. Is that Lisle, Illinois? If so, Wellbuilt Equipment is a CMC dealer in Crete. I do not jump up and down about another company too often, but the service here is exceptional. We have had our 83hd for three years now and Wellbuilt has been an...
Rajan,
You mentioned the sensors on the outriggers freezing and not engaging. This happens almost daily on our 83 once we get to the very cold weather. Our solution has been to keep a Milwaukee 18v heat gun with the truck that tows the lift. Heat up the sensors and your back in business very...
Yep, 4x4' sheets are the key for us. We keep multiple stacks on pallets. With a machine you can lay down paths pretty quickly.

Dave, we sold our tracked mini after we bought our Giant from you. Articulation is a Giant step up. The pun was not initially intended :). It is a very well built and incredibly reliable machine. 2.5 years and ~1800 hours and it just keeps on going. Going back to tracks for me would be...
