    Record Keeping

Hah, don't apologize! I just thought you may prefer that as then you wouldn't have entries into your forms. Those forms look really well thought out, and super simple to use. Nice!

    Record Keeping

What about posting or sending a screenshot, would that be easier? I've been toying with the idea of making forms for maintenance and logs myself.

Traditional to eye and eye split tail

I used blakes hitch once before moving on. My thought was why use something I will never use again?

    New Bandit Chipper

Thank you all for your input. I too would like the 12xp. Has anyone towed around a similar model with a 350? We won't be able to get a new chip truck for a while yet.

    New Bandit Chipper

I'm just worried about the extra weight of the chipper on the truck towing it

    New Bandit Chipper

Right now it's an f350 dually. The 12xp and 200uc are gas. The 90xp is a diesel. We can afford anyone of these, and yes they are new.

    New Bandit Chipper

Hey guys, We are a fairly new tree company, and are looking at purchasing a new Bandit chipper. Until now we have just rented a 6" chipper. We have outgrown that, and are looking to upgrade. I'm stuck between a few chippers: 90 xp, 200UC, 12XP 89hp 12XP 130hp I'm thinking the 90 because of...

    Rope id

I just got a bag of rope and am unsure of a few. The orange seems to be 11.8-12mm

    Major Decision

I assume it is because I live in Vancouver, a large city which wants to be green. For example, the city of Vancouver won't let a single tree be removed without a permit. You even have to notify them if it is dead. Other cities throughout Metro Vancouver may allow one removal per year without a...

    Major Decision

What are the tree bylaws like where you live? I'm curious because everyone says how many removals they do with a treemek in a day, etc. Here, you have to get a permit to remove at least 90% of the trees, and plant replacements. While removals do happen, it seems to be a little less common.

    Conks on red alder

I was hoping someone could help identify the conks on this alder. The tree just failed and broke up when it landed. It was approximately 30 feet tall.

    Major Decision

I've been stuck with the marketing aspect myself. Do you have enough contacts to form a base and then have a lot of work from word of mouth, or would you have to advertise?

    Changing Earmuffs on Helmet

This may be a total noob question, but how the heck do you get the earmuffs out of a helmet once they are in? I'm trying to swap out peltor 101's for some peltor 25's and can't get the 101's out. It looks as though there is a button on one side that you have to push in with a screw driver, but...

    Compact Bulldog Bone

Hey guys, I was hoping to get some advice so I don't have to scroll through 199 pages of this thread to figure it out. I got my bone a while ago (year or so). I had no issues with the bollard which came installed on tachyon. I havent had the chance to climb in a while, more supervising, etc.. I...

    Compact Bulldog Bone

I haven't had much time on the bone yet (roughly 5 climbs), I've been using tachyon with the 5/8" bollard. I'm about 180 lbs.. I've been reading that some people actually use the 3/4" bollard for a smoother descent. Being in Canada and only having a limited supply of the cotter pins, do you...
