    Horrible Review!

This is why I don't trust FB or even Angie's List for that matter. Angie's list allowed someone who only got an email reply to their email to add a negative review and twist the matter. The review allowed them to list that they would never hire us "AGAIN" ... even though we never worked for...

    Coast Redwoods 2015 & 2016

Jewelry product photo session using coast redwood trunks for a backdrop. Lit with umbrella in front and barn door light from behind.

Took a moment, but figured out what you were referring too.

    Sequoias are tall!

In the OP video, was 276 closer to the height of the giant sequoia to be climbed, because the species reaches over 300 ft. presently. I followed the link, which among other stuff had a promo about Archangel, but I think they could actually propagate and spread trees faster just by using various...

Arb Climber mag issue 8 cover

LOL ... after the golf "clap" comment in the OP, at first I thought you meant you were on the cover too once, by the "give me a hand" part. Only took a sec to realize you meant help.

    hybrid willow trees

Bigger faster always seems to mean hitting a brick pruning wall at a higher speed. Unless someone just wants something big, fast, that can go out of control for a long long time without being bothered by it.

    Coast Redwoods 2015 & 2016

Just ordered a 40 inch x 60 inch print canvas of this image to hang in a redwood coast art gallery. In the large file, small details like the fungi conks on the broken trunk are easy to see. Even individual needles near the trunk

Is this gentle giant in trouble??

Interesting how much opinion, information and mis-information this thread introduces. RE the OP redwood, if there is a way to peel some bark on some small limbs or bit of trunk higher up, and find green cambium or moisture inside, then consider sitting on the tree until summer and watch for new...

    WebSite Critique

Nice, I think you buy him a lunch for that one. That was a lot of stuff to fix. The site looks good. I didn't really scrutinize. Just looked at the layout. Personally, I would rather have the home page text above the small photos. RE Facebook I never see a need to Facebook with businesses I...

    Man vs. Earth

Had forgot that one while writing my last post. But I've seen the same episode you referred too. Also, related to this subject, there's other angles that some folks don't fully explore. For example, a lot of trees are growing more wood now than they have in the past few centuries. There is a...

    Man vs. Earth

Just watched the video for the first time today. The "wisdom" aspect and general intent sounds fine to me, provided he doesn't try and sell me on the "global warming" panic. He referenced storms that are worse than ever, and more trees cut down now than ever before, but I think historically...

    Coast Redwoods 2015 & 2016

Already looking forward to the next redwood adventure in 2016. Here's one from autumn 2015 that I just ordered a print on canvas, to hang in the Crescent City gallery.

Coast Redwood champ holds Title Belt vs. Climate Change loser

Thanks Mark. Our son used to be an MM fighter and taught me about the Ali stuff and it seemed fitting.

    Tree Names Tell a Story

Not all names are from Latin, but I'm sure there is a story behind them. I recall that the name for Bermuda grass is based on Greek and related to "finger-like" and "dog tooth" In college, one instructor said the botanists or whoever names the plants probably tips a glass of wine at the same time.

Coast Redwood champ holds Title Belt vs. Climate Change loser

Last night and part of this morning, I stated on my blog about Coast Redwoods retaining their heavy weight champion title belt. And climate change actually being a loser. The full text is at the following link. Sometimes it takes a couple seconds to load. I keep comments disabled on the blog...

Coast Redwood 2014 pics ... plus Bigfoot

Among your photos, the one overlooking the fog really gets my enthusiasm going about the next visit which should either be after Thanksgiving, after Christmas. Here's a fallen titan. Just added a page for it at my redwood page menu, named Lost Man's Fault, posthumously.

    Google Ad Words?

I used it years ago when bidding was less competitive and cost per click far less. But it worked. You may just consider trying it, if you can still pause it any time you wish.
