    I recall this particular trunk in the grove. Pretty sure it's one I spent time by my last time down there, which was a lightly rainy day. And I don't think anybody else hiked down there that winter day. Quite a feeling to have a large portion of redwood park to one's self.

    This view from inside one of the dining areas gives some idea of distance. Left window are trees along edge of field shown in earlier photo. The center and right window show specks of trees to the East and SE corner. The center of the field is mostly open with several raptor perches.
