    Looking at the photos of yours, it looks as though the screw heads holding the sheave together are on the outside face. You had enough clearance on the backside for the nylock nuts? I wonder if a wider sheave could be sourced from somewhere.

    I just now caught up on this thread and went to eBay and picked up an r550 - couldn’t find a decent r500 like you guys did. I’ve got an old Tanaka gas-powered drill that’s just hanging on the rack that wants to connect to this thing. Has anybody used an r550 and found a way to make it midline...

    I'm in the southeast and do mostly residential and some commercial tree care, so you probably won't be surprised when I say, I have no idea what saddle that is you speak of. But I was preferring to retire this saddle due to age, too. Unfortunately, I'm not fitting so well in a medium either...

    I hope they have done a redesign. My central connection is just a sewn loop around the waistband. All of the others are integrated into the rest of the saddle. Yes, I use the lower ones for a bridge, and it works fine. Have fun, be safe.
