    Oh it's already on order. Actually ordered one before I left the site the same day it broke. I'm a fixer, not a buy new kinda guy 95% of the time. That's why all my vehicles are paid for.

    I may have to put up the extra scratch for a new one, then. I really liked my 026. Improvements are rarely bad so long as they don't hurt durability and longevity.

    So you like this new one as much as the older ones? I haven't really had much time with the new saws of this size. And what's with the m-tronics? Is this a chip for the motor or something? Have you had any issues out of the "engine brains"?

    I'm trying to stay in the stihl family. I like huskys, but I like stihl better. At this point they are just familiar and so similar to each other that I don't want to jack around with learning the other side of the chain swing world until there is a crazy good reason to do so.

    Yeah, running an 18 on a top handled saw all the time doesn't appeal to me much, but in the event that my "mid-sided" saws are out of comission, I think it might be handy to have something I can use nearer the base of the tree, if you can dig it. That blasted 660 feels like it weighs 900 lbs...

    I like working with two lines after the initial assent in big wide spreading canopies, but exactly how much benefit do they really think this will give when working tall pines? They already ruined out gas cans. After that, I really don't want them near my life line.
