    WTB: @height 9 5" tether (short)

Or you could take a stab at making your own custom tether. It's worked out well for a lot of people.

What % of Climbers do you think...

    I'd guess over 70%

WTH? SHERRILLtree Poison Ivy made by Samson now?

What world is this? On the real, tho, this is kinda cool. Have never been disappointed by either yale or Samson, but I have to admit that I have a soft spot for Sampson. Especially their 16 strand and 11mm DBs.

I've never actually measured it, but it seems to be a true 11mm. Honestly prefer velocity, but for a mechanical, blaze may be a bit smoother woven. Speaking of ropes and their sizes, by any chance have you held scion in your hand? Does it feel the same size or smaller than tach?

Yes, I snug up the XO before bury. On the pieces that do not snug properly, I throw out the piece. I have previously deconstructed pieces that do not make up properly trying to find what went wrong and have found nothing wrong. I have previously confirmed that the marking method produces a...

I don't think this is the issue, as the whole idea of marking through the cover to the core before extraction is to assure a perfect zero. If your cord is zeroed before you pry open the cover, then the mark is by definition perfect. When you extract the core without marking first, you have to...

Dude, IDK. It's like I said, it's baffling. I make my first core mark by pushing the marker through the pried open cover instead of rezeroing the balance. That's a Toss trick that I have always liked. I have made Mark's 2 and 3 with the core relaxed, just like every other BD, tight (already know...

Imma make it to the island one day, Lord willing. I don't even care if it storms. If it's cold at home, I'd rather sit comfortably through a storm than shiver in the calm.

If only I were beached under the sun with a nice beverage. You know how blessed you are living on that rock in the ocean, right? It's not even proper winter yet, but I was working overnight in 19 degree weather 10 days ago.

Thanks man. I know that some of the character of the buzz has gone a little downhill the last few years while I was absent, but it's nice knowing that I have at least a moderate amount of buzz cred with the old guard. Yeah, those lower d's are great and so are the alpine snaps. Can't imagine...

Frankly, IDK. When did the saddle first get manufactured? Add maybe 6 months to that. Like I said, it's a first gen saddle.

Why do I hate splicing this rope so much? I'd rather splice any other double braid twice than splice this once. I have no idea why the crossover seems to be sloppy (like the core goes into the cover and the cover goes into the core at very different locations) so often. I've tried measuring...

Pulled a treasure out of storage today that I had forgotten that I owned for the longest time. 1st gen treemotion. I got this like a few months after it hit the market. I probably climbed on it for 3 weeks before I got something else. It's been stored inside in a plastic toat it's entire life...

    Sirius splicing

I was mainly asking because of the wesspur site's claim of non-splicable but the tef website giving instructions. Dedgum I wish the retailers would get on board with supplying accurate information. I've worked in a few different industries, but this industry is the worst about there being a...

Oh wait.....I'm picking up what you are putting down. Yes 5 inches before the eye measurements. The extra core length is for a more gradual taper before trying to tuck the core. I'm with it.
