Ain't nothing wrong with 16 strand samson. I climb on it personally, but I know lots of people who rig with it. I have nothing to retire to that roll as of yet, tho, so buying a "real" rigging line this time around.
I'll certainly consider sirius. Honestly, I probably don't go big enough anymore to be all that concerned with the dynamic ratings anymore. I don't have good groundies most of the time anymore, so that slows me down and keeps the pieces smaller than I used to go. If I can't trust the system in...
Who here has used an abundance of 1/2 energy absorption rigging lines?
Need a new hank. What I used to use isn't widely available anymore and was eyeballing kraken, mainly because of the price difference between it and the other usual suspects. I practically never use natural crotches anymore...
I see by the OP that you knew what to expect
1) nice find, homie. Looks very functional
2) I was about to scoop up a hard side pink suitcase for the purpose of holding my pole tools (for a mere 10 bucks), but sadly the FB marketplace deal fell through when the lady failed to show.
3) you'll...
Dude.....that's disgusting. We've got some thin ice on the ground here and I kinda want to die.
Bama decided to buy new. Oh well. Maybe another will come through. Eother way really. I'll keep the thread up for another week or so, then I'll probably just give up, buy CT adjuster and a new bridge...
LOL, as a guy who keeps himself pretty pampered, I hear ya, but I'm seriously down to my last long 1/2 rigging line, and it's a cumby hank of arborplex that I trust about as much as a fart during flu season. If treework were my primary source of income right now, it wouldn't be an issue, but my...
And honestly, I need 2 ropes. Something strong and more static, and something with some energy absorption. I figured I'd sell an old saddle to take care of one, but I'm having a hard time moving it.
I've been crusing Ebay almost daily trying to find a deal. I've never had much luck finding deals on gear when I actually need it. It's always gear that I want but don't nessicarily need. Like these fine spurs. I'd like to replace my steels, but I don't nessicarily need to right now.
I hear ya on the dead eye love. I went through and replaced a lot of stuff with knotless ultras and whoopies, only to begrudge the decision. For me, and it is just my preference, unless the stem is big enough that it's a pain to pass a tail around, I'd rather just tie instead of jacking around...
Oh I know it, but I need to replace some of my light rigging stuff (need a new rope in the *worst* way right now) before investing more on the work positioning side :/
Man I've been eyeballing these. I have a pair of functional steels, so it 's hard for me to justify the purchase right now. Hope you get what you need from selling them.
Glad to have you! While I prefer face to face interaction, forums where life changing for me when I found them. You can't find the collective in person like you can find the collective on a forum
