BEST adjuster for pitchy rope lanyards?

Not really a backup, tim. It's not an auto blocker or anything like that. Think of it like a rope wrench of sorts.. Or better yet a figure 8 descender. It adds some friction for belaying.. And I can see the value in stripping ice with it. But, it won't do much in the way of a safety backup...

Well, I mean either word will work just fine. Dilution: the action of making something weaker in force, content, or value.

I just read this WHOLE thread. Wow. The only thing gleaned from this circular argument is that the majority of people draw no distinction between "you're" and "your". It's maddening. Jesus Christ, guys.

    Modded Double Rope Bridge!

¹ "Myself and others have figured out that the RW actually carries more than half the load/friction... about 60% or so, depending on the rope/cord... so the hitch itself is actually not seeing as much as it would in a DdRT setup, most of the time." ¹ @JeffGu Staunch wrench advocate Excerpt from...

    Modded Double Rope Bridge!

Here's another vote for the rope wrench. Seeing as how you already have a foot ascender, hitch climber and eye n eye cords, you're looking pretty good. Just add a wrench and tether and tend it over your shoulder with your lanyard. You'd be in business. I never ditched ddrt completely, but boys...

Who The Hell Made SPRAT King?

Tim, you've got an eloquence about you, no doubt. I'd bet you could tell me to eat a shit sandwich, and I'd shake your hand and thank you. Simply based on how you would say it. I'm convinced.

What did you find in a tree today?

Funny, eh? My wife has gone as far as "misplacing" a '79 Chev shorty. It was a shit box.. but when she tells me to clean up my shit.. I do it now. Maybe that was her game plan all along...

What did you find in a tree today?

I live in an OLD port city. One of the oldest in Canada. (1785) At one time, it was an accepted practice, no doubt. You're hard pressed to find a mature elm that DOESN'T have bricks and concrete filling cavities around here.

What did you find in a tree today?

Just last week a co worker fed a bar through a trunk. Five feet off the ground, maybe. Full of concrete. Lol
