    CDL/log truck question

I have a CDL,Class B with X endorsement. I was told I can't drive a lot truck with that, which makes no sense, it's a straight truck, no trailer, over 26,001, all of which fall under a CDL B from what I always knew/ can remember. It's more of settling a point between two of us.

    Bucket truck advice

Oh we passed on it and got a steal of a deal on a dump trailer. 14' x 8' deck over 14k the, scissor lift, built in trickle charger, roll up tarp, double axle, brakes on all 4, it's a 2012, but looks less than a year old. No rust, 7' ramps. Built in trickle charger, remote, great tires. Guy...

    Bucket truck advice

@ROYCE. I was kind of thinking that way too. Dont mind the 55' height, but the age and possible safety issues turn us off. Thinking just sticking with getting chip truck or big dump trailer and continue climbing everything for now.

    Anvil help

I just had my chipper knives sharpened on my woodchuck wc17, but can seem to find what the spacing should be, not how to do it. This machine is new to us( got it in April) and don't want to just start chipping even though I think it may be fine. I'd rather have it right. Need it for Saturday.

    Rookie mistake

Ok, I'll fess up, first day out, no instruction, just watched a guy take my tree down 10 years ago, I was hooked, deep. I had to know it all, but I had just come back from Combat in Iraq, so there was no time for patience, I wanted to jump right in, bought a linesman belt and an 8'...

    Bucket truck advice

Bear in mind I have a little bucket experience, but not enough to know what should say yes or no, other than normal mechanical things, I can see if hires look good, etc,...my business partner is very mechanically enclosed and will no more from that side, but as far as the boom, bucket safety...

    Bucket truck advice

Going to look at an d F700, 8.2 or 3 Detroit diesel. Guy says everything works as it should, the few pictures I got show high promise. Looks clean, good tread, not a rust bucket, it's a Teco boom. Not sure of chip box box, and he's unsure of mileage.PTO off the engine. He says it's an '80's...

I'm gonna look these up, but I'd fit those and am in the market. Looking for comfort and less sweat than wearing my chaps in the tree

    Boots for spiking

I need some boots with a shank in the sole for working on spikes, butbi don't know where to start. I've got Chippewa and Carolina loggers, both do no good, 2 3/4 hours on a spruce the other day and my heels were in agony, the plates you can buy to add to Buckingham steel gaffe have way too...
