    A logical question. In my case, no I don't want to be the bank because of the hazardous nature of treework. If something happens to the truck or owner prior to final payment, despite using insurance, continuing the payments could prove impossible.

    I hear ya but disagree. For one thing, the pristine appearance will help it sell and bolster the asking price. And for another, 'the way you do one thing is the way you do everything' so if you weren't doing truck maintenance perfectly you'd be doing something else same way, so s'all good.
