The beef hearts did come in today, so here's what the final result looks like. I prepared the heart into strips and sauteed to medium rare. Served over polenta and topped with gremolata.

The tuna did come out a bit dry despite cooking to medium rare. I didn't think to drizzle olive oil on it, but definitely should have. I did drizzle the reserved balsamic on top after the pic. First attempt at tuna steak. Thanks for the tip, I'll remember it for next time!

Is it worth spending big bucks on Chainsaw Pants?

Dogwoods were delivered today while I was at work. Tried them on when I got home. I've only used zeros. Immediately noticed the weight difference, they feel less bulky when I'm wearing them, and just wearing them around the house I feel like mobility will be improved. Nice stretchy material...

    WTB Entry level saddle

I have a Sherrill Tree/Buckingham Edge II just hanging in the shop I'd part ways with. I purchased from @Crimsonking , I believe he used it for a solid 6 months of production climbing. Definitely not showroom fresh and clean, but plenty of life left in it. Send me a PM if you're interested.

It provides nice supplemental support if you're just hanging but not as much as an actual bosun saddle would. Nice compromise IMO.

@chiselbit it's just a strap that runs through both leg loops and has an adjuster on each side. The arrow points to the strap. The right side adjuster is circled, other side is obscured.

Yeah, I find it stows easier in my gear bag with the handsaw off, saw lanyard wouldn't be an issue though, neither would the positioning lanyard. Just the way I've always done it I guess. Thanks, I flew the original MB for a while and I definitely think this one is a step up.

MB 2.0. Shembiner XL hangs my saw > Red wire gate carries handsaw > Singing Rock porter is a light duty breakaway attachment for ropes if needed (an idea I got from @the.schultz.effect ) > tourniquet on the snap > e2e and biner for redirects > HD loop runner and biner for light rigging tasks...

    Today....

Worked solo on this spruce removal today. Customer took a couple pics. Ran out of gas about 5' below where I topped it. Finished the limbs and took the top with the handsaw, then came down to fill up.

My local butcher hooked me up with this nice 2+ inch thick bone in ribeye this afternoon. Frenched and reverse seared to medium rare, homemade au jus, and a baked potato.

These didn't taste very gamey to me, but comparing the nuggets to the parm, the cheese seems to mask some of the pheasant flavor but not all.
