    $1000 fine for doing tree work unlicensed in RI. How often it is enforced, who knows? Gotta have a hydraulic engineers license too to run a crane.

    Shoot, I'm up there if it's an easier way to do it. Like you said if it's too steep, stay tied into the tree. These standards are killing common sense!

    Very cool. We've got one, and run a 441Mag with it, but we've been ripping a lot bigger logs. Biggest we've done is a 30" DBH American Elm log. White and red cedar seem to be my favorites so far, most useful for me. What is that you've got there? Ash?

    saws

    Mine needed a new carb after about 4 yrs. Make sure you use higher octane fuel and synthetic mix. The ethanol in the fuel is killing these saws.
