    Treemotion Suspenders

My TM tends to sag just a few inches and is usually when sitting in spikes with my 020. Even though the neck abrasion sucks, I personally need the support of suspenders especially of late being hauling around either a 361 or a few times a 660 gives me some seriously sagging. As well I use the...

    Treemotion Suspenders

Sherrill had the suspenders on sale a few weeks ago, still feeling as if it too much was still better then what the normal price was. So decided to try them out being I loved having the spenders for my tree austria a few years ago. Like how it normally fits but as opposided to my old suspenders...

    Pantin keeps kicking out.

Keep your foot level when you move it up the rope as if using a stair stepper. That worked pretty good back when I use to use mine. Can also toss a small key-chain carabiner through the hole in the top to help keep the rope in place.

How often do you foot lock into trees?

I footlock into most of my prunes and on some of the hard lean removals. When in rythme your in the tops of the biggest trees in no time and I just haven't found another system that gets me where I need to be faster in as simple manner as my kong adjustable duo-handle ascender.

    Gecko's?

Re: Gecko\'s? Used the red ones for a few years with the Euro-spike before switching to the carbon fibers with amer-spikes. Velcro like others said doesn't hold up as well on the red ones and personally didn't like how the top scrap just wrapped around without a cinch like the carbon fibers. If...

    Storm gods

Yea, there was trees down all over central jersey as well and was told the leigh valley is just about the same. 70 plus roads alone where closed off in princeton making getting around from job to job yesterday a real pain. Working from dawn til dusk didn't put a dent in the amount of work, but...

    NJ sub looking for work

After a pretty slow winter with spring coming, I am looking for someone that needs a climber for 1-2 days a week to fill out my week. I am located about 10 minutes south of Trenton and have no problems driving a hour or so 1 way. I am looking to stick to NJ just based on the fact I never do work...

    New Jersey

Wasn't able to make this time again. Got hit with a ton of calls, and got a back log of work for a month on a 6-day work week. But is always next year. Grats again Mark. And Ed the climbers that use to go from Woodwinds no longer work there. My self and 2 others got their own shows to run now.

    Gecko climbers

I have been climbing on the Gecko's since they first came out. Was the only spike I really ever used and never minded the pole spike. But once the carbon fibers came out I had switched over to them with the regular tree gaffs. And i will say i won't ever go back to pole gaffs. Even after being...

    treeMotion Wear-n-Tear

Suprised this didn't take longer for every1 to realize. For those that remember this thread, http://www.treebuzz.com/forum/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=87018&page=0&fpart=2&vc=1 , I had a concern then about wearring. And now a year later the wear has cut through 1/4 way through the...

Protective PAnts- Stihl vs Stretch Air

Well being winter is just around the corner I figured this time of year would be a good time to try out protective pants and maybe the transition into using in summer won't be too bad. I wanted to hear from some guys that have used both and what they like on one vs. the other. I'm not worried...

sun in the tree window reveals a pirate - video

Re: sun in the tree window reveals a pirate - vide Is there a name that descibes this trait? I was taugh some trees are able grow like that as to where others cannot and just rub and interfer. I always feel stupid when speaking with a customer and cannot reference what it is called?

    sharp ring on treemotion

Being this thread has been up for a while could someone from the TM team let us know if what we are seeing is normal wear or not. Figured you guys have climbed in them a bit longer and know how it wears.

    Footlocking

I found it easier to isolate my footwork and handwork. I found it easier to practice with a pair of double handled ascenders. This will let you be able to focus on your form for each lock and be able to brake whenever needed. After practicing a lot with the ascenders I went back to the prussik...

    sharp ring on treemotion

I see what you are talking about. It is a worry point for myself as well. It is the webbing that connects to the lower d's. My webbing can become folded and get a bad wear patern. Because of it I will be suprised if I get 3 years out of the saddle being the webbing cannot be replaced.

harness - tree austria - Anyone using this

Maybe with a roller. It is a wide bridge of maybe 2 inches or so.

harness - tree austria - Anyone using this

I loved mine and still have it even though I got the motion. It is the 2nd best saddle I ever used. Only real down side I found was that that the waist buckle comes loose over time from weight on the saddle and that the bridge is not replacable. I really liked how you could just clip on the seat...
