    Not sure about other parts of the country, but here in Northern California where fire suppression is a big deal, there are lots of shepherds with herds of goats or sheep hired to eat the brush. I think it comes at a premium cost. Quite effective.

    I should mention that I use an over the shoulder tether to clip into the pulley, allowing it to follow me up the rope.
