Showed them what they needed to do and their going to do it themselves.
I got a closer look at the trees and noticed this on the one closest the lines.
This is on 1 of the codominant stems.
I mentioned cabling the closest tree in the future, also avoiding the mulch volcanos but they want to keep it that way.
The lines are just touching the tree now so I wasn’t sure if it would be a problem in the future.
My brother in law was asking me about pruning the 2 maples by his driveway as the branches are growing into each other. After looking at them would it be advisable to remove the maple nearest the neighbors driveway and power lines?
I believe trying to keep up with the said tree would make it...
Yeah, 4 inch and smaller is good for this saw. I have a bunch of Overland Jeep buddies and I’m testing it for them as well to see if they could use on their excursions.
Might try to bury the bar and see if and how long it takes to cut.
Found this in the bark of a white oak. I tried finding it on google but closest thing I could find was a female velvet ant. I don’t believe it is due to this bug has a pronounced seperation on its back suggesting it has wings. The female velvet ant has none.
Works great!
Factory chain seems really dull, was spitting out saw dust. Will give it a good sharpening and test again.
Alittle slow but should do well pruning and very quiet to boot.
I believe they are Carlton chains. They felt dull new but after a sharpening seemed to work fine. In the tree I use stihl on ground I use mainly the woodland pro/ carltons. That way I don't cry much if I hit a rock.
