    Re: Hmmmmm, interesting i could be mistaking... but I think the ascender im useing (Petzl - Basic Ascender) does have teeth, but also has a friction clamping action. Correct me if I am wrong or somewhat mislead, please.

    I just got a basic ascender from REI and was wondering if those were appropriate for use with a flipline? It seems to work great, but was seeing if it shouldnt be used because of the line always snagging on the catch teeth... peace
