I used to as well. Then i loaned it out to *someone* and it walked out of my life. Been meaning to replace it for sometime.
So is this a HO saw? Been trying to find a list of the pro vs HO husky saws, but I haven't found jack. Is there an easy way to tell visually?
So I was considering a stihl 262 or 61 or 026 as a larger than top handle in tree saw when I found a husky 545 on fb market brand new for about 350. Good comparable unit or is this a residential grade saw that should be avoided?
Yeah this stuff isn't going to see tree work. Need it for my other job (oilfield nonsense). I'm eyeballing a set of two of pulleys on ebay, but was hoping someone had a few knocking around taking up space that they didn't want anymore.
Thanks for the amazon suggestion, but I've got a ton of...
Looking for some double shieve pulleys (preferably on the cheap). I know I had some double micros hanging around unused for the longest time. Hoping someone else still does. WYG?
This is really sad. I've had lots of good trading experiences on treebuzz and only recently got the short end of the stick on a deal as well (the guy sent the ascender, but it was broken, and it's not really repairable). I was leery because it was a new user, not one of us who has been here for...
I can understand giving the uni a go. Been curious myself and for the same reasons (quick on/off). Compact little guy too. Never played with a runner, but if I were to try to go full mechanical, that would probably be the route I would take being a heavier guy myself.
I really don't use friction savers anymore (all srt now) but I've still got a home spliced old fart u-saver knocking around somewhere. Come to think of it, I really ought to disassemble that thing for the pinto.
I sure would have thought this would have sold by now. It seems a shame to cut such a long hank, but if you consider cutting it, I could use a piece for slings.
Wow......yeah, I'm not going *that* fancy LOL. IDK....maybe I'll start doing hidden lockstitch and a standard whip. Might be faster and less tedious than the wrap and stitch around I'm currently doing.
