    Ive been using a gibbs as a slack tender on my 16 strand 1.5 inch rope lanyard, and remember a post where someone mentioned that the gibbs ascender was only supposed to be used on kernmantle. Can anyone shed any light on this. Thanks

    cammed ascender

    Hey everyone, Im upgrading my lanyard and instead of using a beckett bend knot as a means of adjustment i got a gibbs ascender. Some texts say to replace the locking pin with a lock nut and bolt. I wanted to get some advice before just simply putting ordinary hardware in the gibbs. Thanks

    Blakes hitch

    If when taking down a spar, and the climb line is tied in a running bowline configuration around the spar, would it work to tie in to the single line using a blakes on a split tail instead of an 8 descender? Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

    buckingham pinnacle

    When i use my buckingham pinnacle harness in the split tail configuration it pulls unevenly from the side if i clip the split tail to one d and the termination knot to the other d ring, although it seems to work ok when i clip the two d's together. My question is, is that recommended and are...
