    Larger Chainsaw Advice

Isn't the CS-490 a new saw in their line-up this year? You can't compare it to the CS-620P or 590 as far as build quality. It's a more plasticy saw but really light weight and more power over the CS-400 which is similarly built. For the price it seems hard to beat with 10 more CC's at the cost...

    Larger Chainsaw Advice

I have the 620p as well and I love it, can run a 28" bar with a full skip on it. I run a Husqy 390xp for larger wood up to 42" bar. I'm thinking on buying the new Echo cs-490 as a lighter saw for in the tree rear handle to replace my cs-400. Check it out here... Echo CS-490

Tree Appears Healthy, But Ants Up and Down Trunk

Most of the Black Walnut trees I've taken in my area have had carpenter ants in them. Tend to hollow out the heart wood. One tree that I cut a limb off looked like black liquid was pouring out of the cut till I looked closer. Ants were literately pouring out of the stub. Thought I struck oil for...

    Storming Rico's Personal Area 51

I see that winter has started to affect a few, more likely a baker's dozen in here. Spring approaches and hopefully, for your sakes and Cedric's, the return of sanity.
