    Tree ID humor

LOL, I LIKE THE PIC! I think they are asking if the branching is alternate or opposite, not the leaf arrangement. look at where the petiole base is on the twig to see if it is alternate or opposite.

    fitbit?

Anyone using a fitbit or apple watch to monitor target heart rate? I'm wondering how well they hold up to tree work, and if anyone has found them to be useful in cardio training.

    Oak skin irritation

the latest issue of TCIA magazine has a good article about poisonous plants. I bought some Zanfel for a recent outbreak of poison ivy and it does work! Maybe with the sawdust reaction the best defense is PPE? gloves, long sleeve shirt, etc. It would be interesting to hear what an allergist...

Well, any tree is better than no tree:sisi: I learned to appreciate their tenacity while working in NYC. they truly can grow anywhere! Perhaps you can replace it with a more suitable tree if this one is removed. Good luck!

Well, it was my own fault.... I accidentally left my battery powered saw in a plastic box out in the rain overnight. the weather was beautiful when I went to sleep but I awoke to rain at 4:30 this morning. i ran out and grabbed the saw, brought it inside, shook the water out of it and ran it...

    Tree of Heaven

Hi Sarah, Tree of Heaven, or Ailanthus, are fast growing, weak wooded species that can achieve large stature in little time. While it is difficult to give you a complete assessment of the tree with so little information, it appears that the tree is located close to a building and could pose a...
