Hello TreeBuzz! Long time looker, first time posting here.
We’re selling our niche 6” Salsco tracked chipper. This is the original Taz Track chipper, now Track Chipper, as seen here..
637 current hours on this original chipper from 2012.
This machine is very short, compact and strong for its size with a 35hp Kubota diesel power unit (the new ones are only available in gas). It has non-reversing autofeed (all new speed sensors).
Chipper can be used while still attached to the purpose-built Dexter portion axle trailer. Crank swivel chute makes fly chipping pretty easy.
Slow/medium/fast chipping bar setting speeds, neutral, and reverse.
Overbuilt, all steel disc chipper with a 6x12" opening.
Will last forever with proper maintenance. Selling due to lack of use in our mostly front-country sites... our mini/12"chipper/chip truck trifecta meets our needs most days.
25,500 obo
We're located in Asheville, NC.
Negatives I've noticed:
-It's annoying loud, imo. Must throttle all the way up to drive or chip. Wear extra earplugs!
-Loading/unloading from the trailer can be sketchy without supplemental ramps/blocks.
-Six-inch capacity can be frustrating if you have a bunch of 7" trees to chip, but that's obvious
